Of course, in web design, accessibility is extremely important. We’re a long way from the early days of the web when we browsed with Lynx. Today, we must make sure our websites can be navigated by those using screen readers. When we design with colors and graphics, we must take into consideration those who are color blind.

I suppose it’s good to remember the architect’s maxim, “Form follows function.” But Frank Lloyd Wright added to this, “Form follows function – that has been misunderstood. Form and function should be one, joined in a spiritual union.”

The future of CSS looks very promising, a spiritual union of form and function.
